We will complete a drawing of a hen by crafting one section at a time. This project will take 6 steps to complete as we continue to make each section moving closer to the finished work of art. The finished artwork will be completed with color resulting in a artwork you will love!

First Outline The Head
First, outline the shape of the hen’s head. Add zigzag shapes on the bottom to emphasize the texture of its feathers.

Draw The Face
Draw a shaded circle to form its eye. Next, create pointed shapes for its beak. Draw a curved shape attached to the bottom of the beak to form the wattle. Then, create a bumpy shape on top of its head to draw the comb.

Add The Body
First, outline the shape of its body attached to the head. Then, draw the bumpy shape of its wing and tail as shown.

Attach The Legs
Attach the legs on the bottom of its body similar to the illustration. Don’t forget to create its sharp pointy claws!

Draw Eggs
Draw eggs beside the hen by creating two ovals.

Complete The Hen Drawing
Let’s use a red crayon to color the hen’s comb and wattle. Next, use a yellow crayon to shade its beak and legs. Now, fill in the hen’s wing and tail with a brown crayon. Then, shade the hen’s head and the eggs next to the hen with a cream colored crayon. Finally, use a dark brown crayon to color the hen’s body.
