How to Draw a Horseshoe

Materials
- Pencil

The goal is to complete a drawing of a horseshoe by crafting one part at a time. The drawing will take 6 steps in total as we continue to create each part which will get us closer to the completed drawing. The finished work of art will be perfected with color resulting in a drawing you will be proud to show off!

Outline The Shape Of The Horseshoe
Form the outline of the horseshoe by creating a U-shape.

Add The Heel Calks
Add the heel calks of the horseshoe by creating a rectangle and a line as shown.

Form The Fullering
Form the indented part of the horseshoe called fullering by creating two curved shapes.

Form The Edges
Form the visible edges by drawing lines following the shape of the inner wall of the horseshoe and the indented part of the horseshoe similar to the illustration.

Create The Nail Holes
Create small circles in each fullering to add horseshoe nail holes to our drawing.

Complete The Horseshoe Drawing
Let’s complete the horseshoe drawing by first coloring the edges with a dark brown crayon. Next, use a white crayon to fill in each hole. Now, color the center of the heel calks and the fullering of the horseshoe using an orange crayon. Finally, shade the rest of the horseshoe using a yellow crayon. Add some shine to the horseshoe by creating light yellow streaks as shown.
