This lesson will teach you how to draw a howling wolf. We will draw attention to the shapes of each section and types of outlines created making sure that the artwork looks great.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Outline The Head Shape
Form the outline of the howling wolf’s head.

Draw The Face
Draw a line for the eye and a curve for the nose. Then, create two small, pointed shapes to draw the sharp teeth.

Attach The Ear
Draw the visible ear attached to the head by creating a V-shaped line with a thin triangle shape.

Form The Fur
Form the wolf’s fluffy fur by drawing the bumpy shape as shown.

Outline The Body
Outline the shape of the body similar to the illustration. Leave the bottom part open!

Attach The Legs
Draw the wolf’s legs by attaching the two vertical shapes on the bottom of the wolf’s body as shown. Don’t forget to draw the wolf’s belly as well by making a wavy line.

Draw The Tail
Draw a pointy shape for the wolf’s tail.

Form The Other Two Legs
Form the other two legs by drawing the thin shapes similar to the previous step.

Complete The Howling Wolf Drawing
Let’s complete the howling wolf drawing by first coloring the sharp teeth, legs, underside of the tail and the mane of the wolf with a white crayon. Next, shade the ears with a pink crayon and the nose with a black crayon. Now, use a blue crayon to color the wolf’s fur.
