In this beginner’s lesson, we are going to learn how to draw a mouse with your drawing materials. Pay attention to the various sizes and shapes of each part of the mouse. The pencil lines in each step is drawn blue so you can plainly see the current lines that you will be creating.

First Draw The Face
Let’s first form the face of the mouse by drawing two ovals for the eyes. Next, draw a rounded shape for the nose. Then, create two long lines on both sides of the nose to form the whiskers.

Outline The Head
Outline the shape of the head by drawing an oval with a slightly pointed tip at the bottom.

Attach The Ears
Attach the ears by drawing two rounded shapes on both sides of the head.

Form The Forelegs
Form the forelegs by drawing two curved lines as shown.

Outline The Body
Outline the body of the mouse by drawing a curved line.

Form The Claws
Form the claws by drawing the shapes as shown. Make sure to draw the bottom claws longer!

Draw The Underbelly
Draw the underbelly by forming an oval with a few pointed edges to add some texture.

Attach The Tail
Attach the tail by forming a thin, curved shape. Then, draw a zigzag line near the mouse’s body.

Complete The Mouse Drawing
Let’s complete the mouse drawing! Use a pink crayon to color the inner part of the ear, the claws and the tail. Next, shade the belly with a light brown crayon. Then, use an orange crayon to fill in the mouse’s body.
