In this article, we will start off with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw a newt in 6 instructive steps. It is best to consider the proportions of each part of the newt.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Outline The Head
First, draw a curved line to outline the newt’s head.

Add The Body
Next, draw two long lines to add its body.

Attach The Tail
Attach the newt’s pointed tail connected to the end of its body.

Form The Legs
Now, form the shape of the amphibian’s legs attached to the bottom of its body similar to the illustration.

Draw The Face
First, draw the circular outline of the eye. Next, add a shaded circle to draw its pupil. Now, draw a curved line to form its mouth.

Complete The Newt Drawing
Let’s complete our drawing of a newt by adding some color! First, fill the eye with a white crayon. Next, color the underbelly with a very light green crayon. Then, shade the rest of the salamander’s body with a green crayon.
