Materials
- Pencil
- Drawing Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Black Marker (optional)

By the end of this lesson we will complete a drawing of a paddle by crafting one section at a time. The drawing will take 6 steps to complete as we continue to draw each part moving closer to the completed drawing. The completed work of art will be beautified with color making it a drawing you can be proud of!
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Outline The Shaft
Outline the paddle’s shaft by drawing two long straight lines.

Attach The Grip
Attach the grip to the end of the shaft by forming the small triangular-like shape as shown.

Form The Blade
Form the paddle’s blade by drawing the rectangular shape with rounded edges.

Add The Spine
To add the spine, draw a narrow triangle attached to the shaft pointing to the end of the blade.

Draw Patterns On The Blade
Draw three straight lines on the blade as shown in the illustration.

Complete The Paddle Drawing
Complete the paddle drawing by first using a red crayon to color the grip and spine of the paddle. Next, use a blue crayon for the shaft. Finally, let’s use an orange crayon for the blade.
