In today’s post, we will learn how to draw a pangolin on paper. The design and proportion of each part will be pointed out in each step of the lesson. Note that the blue lines are used to indicate the current components being drawn in each in each of the steps.
Time Needed: 20 minutes

Form The Head
Form the pangolin’s head by first drawing a v-shape facing downwards. Next, add an oval shape at the tip to form the nose. Then add a shaded oval for the eye. Finally, draw a triangular shape for the pangolin’s ear.

Outline The Body
Outline the pangolin’s body by creating a spiky shape connected to its head.

Create The Tail
Create the tail of the pangolin by adding another spiky shape connected to the end of its body.

Attach The Legs
Form the stubby legs at the bottom of the pangolin’s body as shown.

Add The Scales
Form the scales of the pangolin by adding multiple v-shapes on its body, tail, and legs.

Complete The Pangolin Drawing
Let’s color the pangolin drawing! First, use a yellow crayon to color its head and feet. Use a dark brown crayon to shade the nose and inner ears. Finally, color the rest of the pangolin’s body with a brown crayon.
