In today’s tutorial, we will learn how to draw a parasaurolophus on paper. The design and proportion of each part will be highlighted in each step of the lesson. Observe that the blue lines are used to indicate the newest shapes being drawn in each step.

Outline The Head
Draw an oval shape to outline the parasaurolophus’ head similar to the illustration.

Form The Face And Crest
Now, draw a small circle for its eye. Next, add a curved line to form its beak. Draw a small dot for its nostril. Then, form a curved shape on top of its head to draw its crest.

Outline The Body
Outline the oval to form the dinosaur’s body. Then, draw a stiff pointy tail connected at the end of its body.

Draw The Hind Legs
Now, draw the shape of the parasaurolophus’ long hind legs at the bottom of its body.

Add The Forelegs
Add the dinosaur’s short and thin forelegs attached to its torso.

Complete The Parasaurolophus Drawing
Let’s add some color to our parasaurolophus drawing! First, shade its beak with a yellow crayon. Now, color the crest on top of its head with a light green crayon. Next, shade the herbivorous dinosaur’s body with a green crayon. Add some patterns on its body using a darker shade of green.
