In this post, we will learn how to draw a piñata with basic drawing tools. Pay attention to the various sizes and shapes of each part of the piñata. The pencil lines in each step is made of blue so you can identify the current elements that you should be drawing.

Outline The Head

Start by drawing the fluffy outline of the piñata’s head.

Add The Ears

Attach the pointed ears on top of the head.

Draw The Face

Create a U-shaped outline for the eye. Then, draw a triangle for the nose and a curved line to outline the snout.

Form The Body

Shape the fluffy body of the piñata.

Attach The Legs

Draw two rectangles to form the legs.

Add The Tail

Extend thin, curving strips from the end of the piñata’s body to create its tail.

Draw Candies

Add candies falling out of the piñata.

Attach The Rope

Draw a thin vertical rope attached to the piñata. Add texture with evenly spaced diagonal lines.

Complete The Piñata Drawing

Bring your piñata to life with vibrant colors! Begin by shading the eye and nose with a black crayon. Color the rope using a brown crayon. Finally, use a variety of bold colors such as pink, orange, yellow, blue, and green to shade the candies and the body of the piñata.
