Seahorses are Fascinating

Seahorses are one of the strangest sea creatures. They have the head that looks like a horse and the tail of a fish.

A seahorse can live up to 5 years, but the smallest ones have a shorter lifespan. They can change their color to match their surroundings. This helps them hide from predators!

Speaking of hiding… they can even make their body to make themselves look like seaweed and other underwater plants that grow in their habitat.

Seahorses are able to produce sounds using their long snouts. They often use these sounds to attract mates and ward off predators. Scientists have recently discovered that seahorses make a clicking sound when happy and a growling sound when under stress!

Seahorses are fascinating creatures. They live in saltwater and can grow up to a foot tall. Seahorses’ eyesight is so bad that they have no idea what is going on around them.
