In today’s lesson, we are going to discover how to draw a shark tooth on paper. The shape and proportion of each part will be highlighted in each step of the lesson. Observe that the blue lines are used to indicate the new lines being drawn in each in each of the steps.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
First Draw The Root
First, draw the root of the shark’s tooth by creating the shape similar to the illustration.
Draw The Bourlette
Draw the bourlette which serves as the border between the root and crown of the shark tooth by creating a wavy line.
Form The Crown
Form the crown with serrated edges by drawing a jagged V-shaped line.
Draw Bourlette Details
Draw some texture to the bourlette by making evenly spaced vertical lines.
Add Crown Details
Add details to the crown by drawing lines as shown.
Complete The Shark Tooth Drawing
Let’s complete the shark tooth drawing by first adding color to the root using an orange crayon. Next, use a brown crayon to shade the bourlette. Then, use a light yellow crayon to fill in the crown.
