This step by step lesson will instruct you how to draw a silo. We will draw attention to the shapes of each area and types of lines drawn making sure that the artwork looks correct.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Draw The Walls
Draw a tall cylinder to form the walls of the silo’s main structure.
Add The Roof
Add a dome shape on top to form the roof.
Attach The Chute
Draw a long, curving line extending from the top of the silo to the base of the structure.
Outline The Ladder
Outline a ladder by forming two long vertical rods. Next, form the rungs of the ladder by drawing evenly spaced horizontal rods.
Add some texture to the walls and roof of the silo by drawing curved lines similar to the illustration.
Complete The Silo Drawing
Time to add some color to our drawing of a silo! First, color the ladder with an orange crayon. Next, shade the roof with a gray crayon. Then, paint the walls of the silo with a red crayon.
