How To Draw A Wallaby: All Steps

In this lesson, we will start with a blank piece of paper and learn how to draw a wallaby in 6 illustrative steps. We will consider the proportions of each of the drawn parts of the wallaby.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Form The Head

    First, outline the oval shape of the wallaby’s head. Next, draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Now, create a rounded shape for the nose. Then, add two lines curving upward to draw the mouth. Draw a circle around the mouth and then create two vertical lines attached to the eyes as shown.

  2. Add The Ears

    Draw two pointed shapes attached to the top of the wallaby’s head. Don’t forget to draw a diagonal line on each ear.

  3. Outline The Body

    Outline the oval shape of the wallaby’s body.

  4. Attach The Tail

    Attach the wavy pointed shape of the wallaby’s tail to its body.

  5. Form The Limbs

    First, form the wallaby’s arms with small paws similar to the illustration. Next, draw the wallaby’s legs with longer paws attached as shown.

  6. Complete The Wallaby Drawing

    Let’s complete the wallaby drawing by adding some color! First, use a dark brown crayon to color the paws, nose, the inner parts of the ears, and the tip of its tail. Next, shade the mouth, belly and underside of its tail with a light brown crayon. Then, use a brown crayon to fill in the rest of the wallaby’s body.
