We will arrive at a finished drawing of a wood frog by working on one area at a time. It will take 9 steps in total as we continue to create each part moving closer to the finished artwork. The finished artwork will be finalized with color resulting in a artwork you will be proud to show off!

Draw The Top Eyelids
Form the frog’s bumpy top eyelids by drawing two curved lines.

Add The Eye
Add the visible eye by drawing a circle. Create an oval inside the eye to form its pupil.

Draw The Nostril
Draw a small dot to add its nostril.

Outline The Body
Now, outline the shape of the wood frog’s oval body as shown.

Add The Forelegs
Form the shape of the frog’s long forelegs attached to its torso as shown. Don’t forget to erase parts of the body that overlap with the forelegs!

Attach The Hind Legs
Now, draw the shape of the wood frog’s folded hind legs similar to the illustration. Make sure to erase parts of the body that overlap with the hind legs!

Draw The Robber’s Mask
Wood frogs have a distinct pattern on its face called the robber’s mask. Let’s form this pattern by drawing a shape on its face covering its eyes and nostrils. Then, draw a wavy horizontal line along the side of its body as shown.

Outline The Underbelly
Then, outline the wood frog’s underbelly by drawing a curved line near the bottom of its body.

Complete The Wood Frog Drawing
Let’s finish our wood frog drawing! First, color its eye with yellow and black crayons. Next, shade its robber’s mask with a dark brown crayon. Now, color its underbelly with a cream crayon. Then, shade the rest of the amphibian’s body with a dark green crayon.
