How To Draw An Ox: All Steps

In this lesson, we will discover how to draw an ox with basic drawing tools. Pay attention to the different sizes and shapes contained in the example drawing of the ox. The lines in each step is made of blue so you can identify the current parts that you should be drawing.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Create The Face

    First, draw two shaded ovals for the eyes. Next, form an oval with two dots for the nose. Then, create a line curving upwards for the mouth.

  2. Form The Head

    Form the shape of the ox’s head by drawing a curved line connected to its nose.

  3. Attach The Horns And Ears

    Now, draw a pointed shape on top of the ox’s head as shown to form its horns. Next, attach its round pointed ears on each side of the head.

  4. Outline The Body

    Let’s now outline the curvy shape of the ox’s body. At the end of its body, form the thin shape of its tail. Don’t forget to add the pointy tip of the ox’s tail!

  5. Draw The Legs

    Draw the elongated shape of the ox’s legs attached to the bottom of its body similar to the illustration. Add a curved line on the bottom of each leg to form the hooves.

  6. Complete The Ox Drawing

    Now, let’s add some color to our ox drawing! First, use a pink crayon to color the nose, mouth, and its inner ears. Next, shade its horns and bottom legs with a white crayon. Add a hint of black on the tip of its horns. Also shade the tip of the ox’s tail and its hooves with a black crayon. Finally, color the rest of the ox’s body using a brown crayon.
