How To Draw Cereal: All Steps

This lesson will teach you how to draw a cereal. We will pay attention to the shapes of each part and types of contours drawn so that the artwork looks great.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. First Outline The Rim Of The Bowl

    First, outline the rim of the bowl by forming an oval.

  2. Next Draw The Body Of The Bowl

    Next, draw the body of the bowl by making a U-shaped line.

  3. Fill Bowl With Cereal

    Fill the bowl with cereal by drawing ring shapes. Add some space in between the cereal bits.

  4. Add More Cereal

    Add more cereal to fill the empty spaces in the bowl by drawing ring shapes. Also, draw a few cereal bits outside the bowl like in the illustration. Be sure to erase any overlaps!

  5. Place A Spoon

    Place a spoon beside the bowl of cereal by first drawing an oval under the cereal bits. Then, attach the handle by drawing the long curved line as shown.

  6. Complete The Cereal Drawing

    Complete the cereal drawing by adding some color! Let’s start by shading the bowl with a blue crayon. Now, add hints of purple on the sides and in the inner part of the bowl to make it darker. Next, use different vibrant crayons to color the cereal bits. Then, shade the spoon with a pink crayon. Lastly, shade the bottom of the bowl, spoon and the piece of cereal lightly with a purple crayon to add some shadows.
