In this tutorial, we will start with a blank piece of paper and discover how to draw churros in no time. It’s best if we proportion out the proportions of each part of the churros.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
-
Start To Form The Churro’s Shape
Form the shape of the churro by drawing a bumpy circular shape. Let’s draw these shapes four times.
-
Create The Churro’s Body
Next, we will draw the body of the churros. Extend a line starting from the pointed part of the churro as shown to emphasize the rigid texture of its surface. Make sure to only extend four points on a churro like in the illustration.
-
Draw The Churro’s Tip
Draw the other tip of the churro by connecting the ends of the lines with a bumpy line as shown.
-
Outline The Filling
Outline the filling of the churro by drawing a small circle as shown.
-
Add A Dipping Bowl
Let’s add a dipping bowl to our churros illustration by creating a thin oval.
-
Form The Base
Next, form the base of the dipping bowl by drawing a U-shaped line as shown.
-
Draw The Dip
Fill the dipping bowl with the dip by making a wavy line.
-
Add The Plate
Let’s draw a plate to put our churros and dipping bowl in by making two ovals as shown. Erase any parts of the plate that overlap with the churros and dipping bowl.
-
Complete The Churros Drawing
Let’s finish our drawing by coloring the churros with yellow and orange crayons. Use the yellow crayon as the base color and add hints of orange to emphasize the shadows on the churros’ surface. Next, color the churros’ filling and dip with a brown crayon. Then, use a red crayon to color the dipping bowl. Lastly, use a white or pale yellow crayon for the plate then use an orange crayon to add some shading. You can also add some shadow below the plate using a purple crayon.
