In today’s post, we are going to discover how to draw grains on paper. The location and proportion of each part will be considered in each step of the how-to article here. Take notice that the blue pencil lines are used to show the newest shapes being drawn in each in each of the steps.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Outline The Stalk
Draw the thin outline of the stalk.
Add narrow pointed leaves attached to the stalk. Draw lines following the shape of the leaves to add some texture.
Draw The Kernels
Draw a series of kernel grains attached to the stalk.
Attach The Awns
Form the hair-like structure on top of the grains called awns.
Draw Grains On The Ground
Draw some grains on the ground by drawing small ovals.
Complete The Drawing Of Grains
Let’s add a pop of color to our drawing of grains! First, color the stalk with a green crayon. Now, fill in the leaves with a lighter shade of green. Next, shade the kernel grains with a yellow crayon.
