How To Draw Rice: All Steps

In this step by step lesson, we will discover how to draw rice with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the various sizes and shapes of each part of the rice. The lines in each step is outlined in blue so you can see the most recent parts that you will be illustrating.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Draw To Rim Of The Bowl

    Draw an oval just below the middle of the paper. This will become the rim of the rice bowl.

  2. Complete The Bowl

    Then, draw the remaining body of the bowl like in the illustration.

  3. Add The Rice

    Next, we will draw the rice that fills up the bowl. The rice kernels will overflow upwards over the top of the bowl.

  4. Draw The Chopsticks

    After that, we added the chopsticks on the right side of the drawing sticking out of the rice.

    We added steam above to make the rice appear hot and freshly cooked.
