How To Draw Seaweed: All Steps

In this post, we are going to discover how to draw seaweed with basic drawing tools. Pay attention to the different sizes and shapes within the artwork of the seaweed. The pencil lines in each step is drawn blue so you can identify the most recent components that you should be working on.

  1. Draw Rocks

    Draw some rocks at the bottom by making rounded shapes.

  2. Outline The Central Rib

    Outline the central rib of the seaweed by making long wavy lines.

  3. Form The Shape Of The Seaweed

    Now, using the central rib as the guideline, let’s draw wavy lines on both sides of the central rib to form the shape of the seaweed.

  4. Draw The Seafloor

    Let’s draw the seafloor by making a horizontal line.

  5. Add Bubbles

    Next, add bubbles on top of the seaweed by creating different sizes of circles.

  6. Complete The Seaweed Drawing

    Let’s begin coloring the seaweed with a green crayon. Next, shade the rocks with a purple crayon. Now, color the bubbles with a light blue crayon and the water with darker shades of blue. Then, shade the seabed using an orange crayon.
