In this step by step lesson, we will learn how to draw smarties with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the various sizes and shapes within the artwork of the smarties. The lines in each step is drawn out in blue so you can plainly see the current lines that you should be illustrating.

Outline The Smarties Wrapper
Draw the outline of the Smarties wrapper by creating an elongated oval shape with pointed corners.

Attach The Ends Of The Wrapper
Attach both ends of the wrapper by drawing a triangular shape as shown.

Design The Packaging
Now, let’s design the packaging. First, write the text “SMARTIES” on the wrapper. Then, draw the outline of the wrapper by creating a rectangle with two triangles attached on both ends.

Draw A Smarties Candy
Add a Smarties candy near the wrapper. First, draw an almond shape. Then, attach a U-shaped line to the bottom of the almond shape as shown.

Add More Smarties Candies
Add a few more Smarties candies scattered around the wrapper like in the illustration.

Complete The Smarties Drawing
Let’s finish the Smarties drawing by coloring the wrapper with a white crayon and adding stripes of red at the ends of the wrapper. Shade the center of the wrapper lightly with streaks of vibrant colors to add that see-through effect. Next, color the background of the text with a red crayon. Then, fill in the Smarties around the wrapper with vibrant colors like green, pink, orange, and purple. Lastly, create shadows using a purple crayon to add some depth to your drawing.
