Jackal Drawing: All Steps

This step by step lesson will instruct you how to draw a jackal. We will draw attention to the shapes of each part and types of contours drawn ensuring that the drawing looks convincing.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

  1. Draw The Face

    Form the jackal’s face by first drawing two shaded ovals to create the eyes. Next, draw a rounded triangle shape to form the nose. Attach a curvy line below the nose to create a mouth.

  2. Outline The Head

    Outline the shape of the jackal’s head as shown in the illustration.

  3. Attach The Ears

    Attach ears to the jackal’s head by using pointed shapes with a line drawn in the middle.

  4. Add The Face Pattern

    Draw a curved line attached to the nose of the jackal.

  5. Outline The Body

    Form an elongated shape to create the jackal’s body.

  6. Attach The Legs

    Attach four legs to the jackal as shown in the illustration. Don’t forget to add paws to the jackal!

  7. Add The Tail

    Draw a fluffy pointed shape attached to the body of the jackal!

  8. Add The Body Pattern

    Outline the body pattern of the jackal by drawing lines across its body as shown.

  9. Complete The Jackal Drawing

    Let’s complete the jackal drawing using a dark brown crayon to shade the nose, top pattern, and tip of the tail. Use a yellow crayon to lightly shade the underbelly, face pattern, and inner ears of the jackal. Finally, let’s add some life to the drawing by filling in the rest of the jackal with an orange crayon.
