Materials

- Drawing Paper
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Black Marker (optional)

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a Maine coon cat drawing on paper. To make sure it looks great, we will consider the different sizes and shapes of each part of the Maine coon cat. The new lines in each step is made of blue so you can see the current lines that you will be working on.

Draw The Head
On the top left side of the page, draw the head shape including ears and a face.

Draw The Body
Begin drawing the body lightly with your pencil. Maine coon cats are very fluffy so we will be using this body outline as a base to add the fluff later on, so it’s okay if this part isn’t perfect.

Add Fluff To The Head
Use the head shape you drew as a guideline to draw the fur on the cheeks, and erase what parts aren’t needed anymore. Also add some Fur inside and on the tips of the ears.

Add Fur To The Body
Use your body guideline to help add fur and make this cat look extra fluffy and erase the guideline afterwards.

Fluff Up The Tail
Using the guideline, add fur to the tail, and erase the guideline when you’re done.

Color It In
Maine coon cats come in a variety of different colors and patterns, so color in this cat in a way that makes it unique.
