In today’s lesson, we will discover how to create a mole drawing on paper. The size of each of the drawn parts will be highlighted in each step of the lesson. Note that the blue lines have been drawn to show the current parts being drawn in each in each of the steps.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
-
Form The Face
Form the mole’s face by first drawing two ovals for the eyes and a bigger rounded shape for the nose.
-
Draw The Body
Draw the mole’s body by creating a rounded blob shape as shown. Then, outline the snout by making a line curving downwards.
-
Form The Limbs
Start by forming the fore limbs of the mole and then drawing the pointy shape of the claws attached to the end of the fore limbs. Since we’ll be drawing the mole coming out of a hole, only a part of its hindlimbs will be visible. For the hind limb, draw a curved line as shown.
-
Attach The Tail
Attach the mole’s tail by drawing a curved line.
-
Form The Hole On The Ground
First, outline the shape of the hole on the ground where the mole came out of by drawing a wavy oval shape. Draw a small line on the right side of the mole to form the opening of the hole. Add blades of grass by making thin, pointy lines.
-
Complete The Mole Drawing
Finish the drawing of a mole by first coloring the snout and claws with an orange crayon. Next, shade the nose with a pink crayon. Now, color the eyes mainly with black then add some shine using a white crayon. Then, shade the mole’s body with a purple crayon. Finally, color the soil with brown and the grass with green.
