In today’s lesson, we are going to discover how to create a pachyrhinosaurus drawing on paper. The size of each of the drawn parts will be pointed out in each step of the tutorial. Note that the blue lines are used to show the current lines being created in each step.
Time Needed: 30 minutes

Outline The Head
Draw a V-shaped line to outline the head. Add a curved line attached to the bottom to form the jaw.

Add The Frill
Draw a wavy line to add its frill.

Draw The Eye
Draw a small circle for its eye.

Form The Beak
Add a curved line across the head of this dinosaur to form a beak. Don’t forget to add a dot to give it a nostril!

Add The Spikes And Horn
Draw small V-shaped lines attached to the frill to form the spikes. Next, draw a narrow pointed shape at the top to form the dinosaur’s horn.

Form The Nasal Boss
Let’s add the nasal boss of our dinosaur by attaching a curved line on top of its head.

Outline The Body
Outline an oval shape to form the body of our pachyrhinosaurus!

Attach The Legs
Attach columnar shaped legs to the body. Let’s add some short lines at the bottom to highlight the toes of the dinosaur!

Complete The Pachyrhinosaurus Drawing
Let’s add some color to our drawing of a pachyrhinosaurus! First, use a black crayon to color its eye. Next, shade its beak with an orange crayon. Now, color the spikes, horn and the nasal boss with a white crayon. Then, shade the rest of its body with a red crayon. Add stripes along its back using a darker shade of red.
