Persian Cat Drawing: All Steps

This step by step lesson will teach you how to draw a persian cat. We will pay attention to the shapes of each part and variety of lines drawn so that the drawing looks convincing.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Draw The Head

    Start off the drawing by making the cat’s head near the top of the page.

  2. Draw The Body

    Persian cats are very fluffy and we will be adding the fluff later, so make sure to draw the body lightly so you can use it as a guide later.

  3. Add The Head Fluff

    Add fluff around the cheeks and ears, and erase the parts of the head that the lines overlap.

  4. Draw The Face

    Add a nose and mouth with a small line above it to show the smushed face. Give it some whiskers and eyes as well.

  5. Add Fluff Around The Chest

    Add a little bit of fluff near the neck area and erase where the previous lines overlap. Draw a large “V” shape of fluff near the top of the front legs to make the chest more pronounced.

  6. Add Fluff To The Back

    Using the body lines you drew earlier as a guide, add some fluff to the back and erase the guideline when you’re done.

  7. Fluff Up The Tail

    Make the tail super fluffy using the guideline to help make the tail shape.

  8. Add Some More Detail

    Draw little lines on the paws and make the cat even more fluffy.

  9. Color It In
