This lesson only takes about 30 minutes and includes a pdf you can easily print or download. The pdf lesson even contains a coloring-book-like page with just the line art. This accompanies well with crayons. It is useful for very young kids looking for some extra guidance and simply looking to color in the Pope.

This tutorial will instruct you how to draw the Pope. We will draw attention to the shapes of each part and types of lines drawn so that the drawing looks right.
Time Needed: 30 minutes
Draw The Head
Draw a U-shaped line to draw the pope’s head.
Add The Face
First, draw two shaded dots for the eyes. Next, draw the nose, mouth and eyebrows with curved lines. Also, don’t forget to attach the ears!
Draw The Pope’s Mitre
Next, draw the mitre on top of the pope’s head as shown.
Add The Mitre’s Details
Let’s add the details to the pope’s mitre. First, draw the cross on the center of the mitre. Then, draw the lining on the mitre as shown.
Draw The Pope’s Dress
Let’s draw the pope’s dress. Start by making an oval with pointed ends to draw the mozzetta or the shoulder cape. Then, draw the pope’s cassock by making a sharp U-shape below the mozzetta.
Attach The Arms
Now, attach the arms below the mozzetta or shoulder cape as shown.
Add The Pectoral Cross
Next, draw the pectoral cross that the pope wears as a necklace.
Draw The Shoes
Draw the pope’s shoes using two ovals.
Complete The Pope Drawing
To complete your drawing, finally color the pope’s mitre and dress with yellow. Pick a skin tone crayon and color the pope’s head and hands.
