In this post, we will learn how to draw a raccoon drawing on paper. To ensure the artwork is successful, we will notice the different sizes and shapes of each part of the raccoon. The drawn lines in each step is color-coded blue so you can identify the current lines that you should be creating.
Time Needed: 30 minutes
First Draw The Face
Let’s start drawing the raccoon’s face by making two circles for the eyes and a rounded shape for the nose. Next, create two small lines curving upward to draw the mouth.
Outline The Snout
Outline the snout by drawing a rounded shape.
Form The Head
Form the head of the raccoon by drawing an oval shape with sharp, pointy sides.
Draw The Face Pattern
Draw the raccoon’s face pattern by forming the shapes around its eyes as shown.
Attach The Ears
Attach the ears by forming the curved lines on both sides of the head.
Form The Limbs
First, form the shape of the raccoon’s limbs. Next, attach the paws at the end of each limb.
Draw The Body
Let’s first outline the raccoon’s hind limbs then attach the paws as shown. Next, draw the fur pattern on its belly as shown.
Attach The Tail
Outline the tail by making an elongated shape. Next, draw the raccoon’s striped pattern on the tail by making slightly curved lines as shown.
Complete The Raccoon Drawing
Let’s complete the raccoon drawing by first coloring the eyes and nose mainly with a black crayon then adding some shine using a white crayon. Next, using a dark gray crayon, color the paws, face and tail pattern. Now, use a very light brown crayon to color the belly, outer part of the ears, and the face and tail patterns. Then, use a white crayon to color the snout. Finally, shade the top part of the head and the limbs with a gray crayon.
