Sickle Drawing: All Steps

In today’s lesson, we will learn how to create a sickle drawing on paper. The size of each of the drawn parts will be pointed out in each step of the lesson. Note that the blue lines have been drawn to indicate the new shapes being drawn in each in each of the steps.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

  1. Draw The Handle

    First, draw the short handle of the sickle.

  2. Attach The Ferrule

    Sickle Drawing: Step 2

    Now, draw a rectangle to attach the ferrule to the handle.

  3. Form The Blade

    Next, form the curved, pointy shape of the sickle’s blade.

  4. Draw The Wavy Outline On The Blade

    Draw a wavy line following the shape of the blade.

  5. Add The Texture

    Sickle Drawing: Step 5

    Draw wavy lines to add a wooden texture to the handle of the sickle.

  6. Complete The Sickle Drawing

    Time to add some color to our sickle drawing! First, use a brown crayon to color the handle. Next, use shades of gray to fill in the ferrule and blade of the sickle.
