In today’s tutorial, we will discover how to draw sour patch kids drawing on paper. The shape and proportion of each of the drawn parts will be highlighted in each step of the tutorial. Observe that the blue outlines are used to indicate the newest parts being created in each step.

Start outlining the shape of the Sour Patch Kids bag by creating a rectangle.

Draw two horizontal lines to create the seal on the top part of the bag.

Outline the Sour Patch Kids Candies around the text on the packaging by drawing the doll-like shapes as shown.

Add The Faces
Add the faces of each Sour Patch Kids by drawing two circles for the eyes and a U-shape curve for the mouth.

Let’s finish the Sour Patch Kids illustration by coloring the packaging with a green crayon on the edges and a yellow crayon on the center. Next, outline the text “SOUR” with a green crayon, the text “PATCH” with an orange crayon and the text “Kids” with a red crayon. Use a dark purple crayon to shade the background of the text as shown. Green Sour Patch Kid (drawing lesson #2)
Now that you have drawn a bag of sour patch kids…let’s learn to draw an individual piece of candy.
This candy is going to be drawn quite large. Begin with the body of the Sour Patch Kid.
Then draw their puffy head. A classic characteristic of this popular candy.
Next up, outline a simple pair of candy legs!
Sour Patch Kids seem to be waving their arms. Add a pair of arms to your drawing.
Finally give your Sour Patch Kids a face.
Now with your crayons or colored pencils you can shade in your candy. I choose green but you can choose any color you wish!
Sour Patch Kids Watermelon Drawing
Step 1: Outline the Packaging
Draw a square shape to outline the candy’s packaging.
Step 2: Attach the Ridges
Add zigzag lines attached to both sides to create the ridges.
Step 3: Write the Candy’s Name
Write the text “SOUR PATCH Kids watermelon” on the packaging.
Step 4: Draw the Candy Mascot
Add a little candy man at the bottom right of the packaging to draw the mascot.
Step 5: Add Design to the Packaging
Add semi-circles with rounded edges on the packaging to create the Sour Patch design.
Step 6: Draw the Sour Patch
Draw a semi-circular shape outside the packaging to form the Sour Patch.
Step 7: Add more Sour Patches
Add more candy spilling out the candy bag by drawing shapes similar to the illustration.
Step 8: Outline the Edges
Draw lines inside the sour patches to outline the candy’s edges.
Step 9: Complete the Sour Patch Watermelon Illustration
Let’s complete our Sour Patch Watermelon illustration! First, use a green crayon to color the mascot, portions of the candy, and to outline the word “SOUR”. Use an orange crayon to outline the word “PATCH”. Next, use a red crayon for the word “Kids”. Then, shade the packaging with a black crayon in the middle. After that, use a yellow crayon to surround the black color. Finally, use a pink crayon to shade the rest of packaging along with portions of the Sour Patch candy.
