In today’s guided lesson, we are going to discover how to create a tabby cat drawing on paper. The size of each of the drawn parts will be observed in each step of the tutorial. Take notice that the blue outlines are used to show the new elements being created in each in each of the steps.

Draw The Head
Draw the cat’s basic head shape near the top of the page.

Draw The Body
Use different curved lines to make the shapes of the body, tail, and legs.

Add A Face
Give the cat a cute smiling face.

Add The Head Stripes
Tabby cats all have some sort of “M” shaped stripe on their foreheads, so add that along with a few other small stripes.

Put Stripes On The Body
Use lots of lines to give the tabby cat some more stripes.

Color It In
Tabby cats are most often brown and can have some small bits of white on their nose, paws and stomach.
