Materials

The goal is to arrive at a finished drawing of a therizinosaur by tackling one area at a time. The drawing will take 6 steps in total as we continue to make each part which will get us closer to the completed drawing. The final work of art will be beautified with color creating a drawing you will be proud to show off!

Form The Eye And Beak
First, let’s draw the pointy and curving shape of the therizinosaur’s beak. Next, create a small circle for its eye.

Outline The Body
Outline the shape of its body similar to the illustration. Make sure to emphasize its feathers by drawing small bumpy shapes.

Attach The Tail
Form the shape of the therizinosaur’s feathery tail attached to the end of its body.

Draw The Legs
Now, attach the dinosaur’s legs as shown. Then, form the sharp claws at the end of its toes.

Attach The Arms
Outline the curving shape of its feathery arms. Then, attach its long claws as shown.

Complete The Therizinosaur Drawing
Let’s color our drawing of the therizinosaur! First, fill the eye using a black crayon. Next, color its beak with a yellow crayon. Now, shade its claws with a blue crayon. Finally, use a brown crayon to color the rest of the therizinosaur’s body.
