In this lesson, we will learn how to make a yam drawing on paper. To make sure it looks great, we will pay attention to the various sizes and shapes of each part of the yam. The drawn lines in each step is drawn in blue so you can see the current components that you should be creating.
Time Needed: 20 minutes
Begin With A Small Slice
Draw a small circle on the left part of your paper.
Add The Side
Draw a curved line under the circle so it will look 3D, just like a round vegetable slice.
Draw Another Yam Slice
Then, draw a bigger circle slightly behind the first one. We are going to erase the lines that went over the first completed slice.
Complete The Slice’s Side
Draw another curved line under the second slice to once again make this slice look real and 3D.
Add The Half-Sliced Yam
Now, we are going to add another bigger circle on the second one, then complete the yam with the shape similar to the example. Again, we are going to erase the lines that went over the previous parts of our drawing.
Complete Your Drawing
We are now going to color our yam drawing and add more details to it using our coloring materials.
